A towable pivot is an irrigation system that can be easily moved between fields using a tow. It features a center pivot adjusted to different positions.
With swivel wheels that turn 90º, a strong cart frame, and an 8” flexible hose connection, it offers efficient watering for various crops, making it ideal for farms with crop rotation needs and fields with slight slope (less than 3%.)
What are the differences between a towable and a center pivot?
The towable pivot is installed on a trolley, allowing it to change position. There are three main differences between a center pivot and a towable pivot:
- The pivot point is installed above a four-wheel cart.
- The towers use a swivel mechanism to turn the wheels parallel to the spans.
- The machine is connected to the hydrant hydraulic network with a flexible hose.
Enhanced features for optimal performance
Our new towable pivot boasts bigger tires, stronger legs, and space for a genset, fertigation tank, and filter. The updated towable kit makes wheels turn easier, and the flexible hose connection ensures quick setup.
Regular maintenance is simple: check alignment, tire pressure, and water connections to keep your system running smoothly.
What are the advantages of this product?
There are countless advantages to consider when purchasing a towable. These include:
- Irrigating a more extensive area with a lower investment since the same machine can be used in different locations.
- Ability to increase the irrigated area with a single system.
- Flexibility to quickly and easily transfer the system from one surface to another.
